gardener 4LW

I have just bought an old bath tub and has a gardener 4LW.
I have a problem,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I cannot get it to run for more than 5secs on all 4cyl.
if i decompress 3 and 4 it will run all day long on 1 and 2, as soon as i hit the lever it stops.
the injectors and pump are good and the compression is also good.

people any ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Loosen injection line nuts on 3 and 4 and see if compression blows out the loose joint when you throw the decomp lever to run. Injection nozzle valve can be hanging open, air blows back into inj pump and air loads it. Not sure if that pump has a non-return valve.

have you tried holding up the injection levers on the 2 cylinders I assume the lever you are talking about is the decompression lever
also have you checked that the 3 &4 injector lines are not swapped over
