Ford Lehman SP135 oil capacity?

Changed the oil today on my twin SP135's and ran into a bit of a quandary regarding the correct amount of oil to use. The manual states 20 qts and if I put that amount in it comes up to the full mark on the dipsticks, but somebody has written in my manual that the correct amount is 14.5 qts.

does anybody have further data on this?
