Diesel Engine

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
But in the big scheme of things with a conscientious owner and following safety rules/suggestions...you are more likely to be hit by lightening than worrying owning a gas boat over diesel.

Besides everybody know about it.

Kulas44,
That could be a blessing as very serious pre-ignition could result.

On the contrary, it will not ignite. Even if you can get it to run it produces tremendous amounts of white smoke from super delayed ignition. The old multi fuel White and Hercules 465 ci. military engines had a brass tag with instructions about how much oil to mix into the gasoline to get them to run. On the plus side, the gasoline is a really good injection system cleaner.
