Hello. Anyone know what the fuel burn rates are for Cat 3208's?
My brother has the 375 HP version and he gets 1 gallon per hour at 10 knots in his 48 Offshore.
My Californian 55 at 64,000 lbs get 1 gallon per mile at 10 knots with the 425 HP 3208s. I'm usually at 1750 RPMS depending on bottom condition. I average 7.88 gallons per motor run hours which of course include putting out of the marina and some idling in the slip although I do almost 0 of that. This of course includes running both engines since it is a twin. I had a hard time believing the 7.88 average but I have kept records over several hundred miles and these numbers are always confirmed for my boat.

I’m guessing a typo. No way your brother 1 gallon per hour at 10 knots.
1 gallon per nautical mile at 1750 RPMs sounds very common for 3208’s for boats in the 50 to 60’ range. Speed will probably be between 9 & 10 kts. Every boat will be a little different.
Currents, waves and wind will also influence this number.
