So we just got to JAX this week from Old Saybrook, CT. Left 11/11. 1985 Gulfstar 49, displacing 42,000.

Went outside to Hampton, VA. 60 hours. Inside the rest of the trip.

Took twenty days including three two night stays at a few ports. Ran 1400 rpm or less. 8.5 knots thru the water. 4.25 gals per hour total including 20kw generator for 2-3 hours day.

Except for an oil sending unit leak (quickly fixed by a mechanic for
$75 in Hampton, VA) engines ran great.

I am happy.

Congrats! That sounds like very good economy to me (twins I assume).
