Adjusting Morse dual SR controls

I have twin transmission controls, from 2 stations.* Each station works fine no cable binding or resistance when disconnected.* But put upper and lower station together the upper station locks.* The controlls were loose inside and I tightened them up and rebuilt them.* They were thight before the rebuild, now they won't work together.

Any suggestions were to begin?

Thanks,

Carl*

Hate to say it but I think the facts point to something you may have done when you "rebuilt" them.

Is it possible a part could have been installed backwords and the controls are somehow working against one another.

Just a thought.* JohnP

Thanks,

But when the upper and lower are hooked sepratly to the transmissions they work flawlessly.

When both are connected, ( upper to lower ), they lock and neither will move!

Thanks,

If I'm not mistaken, they connect through a "DS" plate (Morse ). If this is the set up you have, I would look at this plate where both stations come in and 1 cable goes to the gear box.
