If I were to find a boat (approx 32-40 ft) in the upper eastern part of the US (New york, Boston area), what is the weather window I would have to bring it to Hilton Head via water?? I would be using a captain to help as my skills are not there (yet:lol:)
Thanks

Apologies for the lack of info, the weather window I am looking at is this fall. At what point am I better off transporting over land. Thanks

I have left NJ in December a couple of years.

Some years were brutal, some not so much.

It's usually only bad north of Norfolk.

The difference is between an inside/well protected steering station or or a more open one.

Still can be done all year, but weather windows in Jan to Apr are few and far between for oce as n and a lot of the Chesapeake.
