Hyannis Ferry slams into jetty

Ferry was way way off course. seas 5-7, wind 20kn, rain, small craft advisories. 2 experienced captains on board. Broadsided the jetty.

Wow! I looked at our charts. It looks like they missed the turn to port and drove right up on the breakwater.

Bad things come in 3's. With the destroyer rammed by the cargo ship in Japanese waters and now this ferry hitting the breakwater, I wonder who is next?

The schooner "Alabama" went aground in Noank , Ct last evening.
No injuries reported, all passengers safely evacuated to nearby Noank Shipyard.

It went aground in the same place a few years ago. OOPS!

Actually a Providence - Newport fast ferry had an incident last night also.
