Favorite Stops: Ft Myers to Biloxi?

We were eager to head north thru NY to Great Lakes in May, made easy by our air draft of 14' instead of the 57' our 42' sloop required. COVID negated that plus most of our summer. Eager to get underway again, we will go south hoping to enjoy new harbors.

Please share your knowledge of the West Coast and Panhandle. Thanks.

Tarpon Springs!
In 2017 I left Panama City and motored across the gulf to Tarpon Springs. One very long day! Met up with a TF couple preparing to do the Loop. Had a wonderful evening together with a great dinner at one of the local restaurants. Did a TF rendezvous in January 2020 and had a wonderful time. The municipal docks were great in the heart of old Tarpon Springs, and the Greek restaurants were outstanding! Certainly a good place to jump off from whether going to Panama city or Carrabelle.

A most stop is Boss Oysters in Apalachicola. Also the January 17 Oyster Cook Off at the river front park.
