That is one BIG travel lift. What does your boat weigh?

The stories we have heard told about the previous owners parties onboard I would not be at all surprised.

That's one beautiful and big sucker of a vessel you have there Simi. Noted the roll-bared Rocna sticking proudly out the front. Gold Coast City Marina does have about the biggest travel lift on the East Coast I think. Certainly in the Brisbane area, although the one at Rivergate near the Gateway bridge might come close..? Brian (Insequent) would know.

GCCM has a 50, 250 and a 600tonner
Boatworks, nearby has a 70, 100 and 300 tonner
Rivergate has a 75 and 300 tonner

We usually come out at The Yard (Brisbane Shiplifts) which is a few hundred meters from rivergate.
The yard has a 75, 300 and 600 tonner - we used the 300T and 8 straps

COVID deal at GCCM was about 1/3rd of what The Yard quoted and they refused to price match it.
Doubt they'll see us again, GCCM was so superior in almost every way imaginable.

Well, thereyago. You learn a new thing every day. I hold my head in shame though re the wrong ID of the Manson.
Although, in my defence, the Rocna and Manson Supreme are very much lookalikes, aren't they..? Especially with the quick glance of it, which is all one gets. I was mainly going on a memory, (clearly faulty), of you saying which anchor you used, and how well it worked on other posts.

The Manson has a full length cut away along the top side of the shank, so you can drive over a stuck anchor, pulling the attachment point along the shank and pull it out backwards.
All Manson gear is superior, just really good anchors.

Itís a very well run yard, probably one of the best in the country. The big Milkraft is a lot of real estate!
When was she last hauled, had a reasonable beard on her?

Yes, you're right. Couldn't see that in the video. They copied that brilliant bit of design, (the trip-slot), from the maker of my Super Sarca, Anchor Right, in WA. I really miss that anchor. Even more than I miss the boat it was on. Sounds a bit weird, but I do...

That is one serious trawler. Now you have a nice promo piece about your boat. That is very cool.

I noticed that you have a refer in your pilot house. I've never seen that before. What an interesting boat!

All I can say is WOW!, and maybe WOW again.

I can't imagine a 250 ton travel lift. The biggest I have seen is maybe 30 or 40.

Is there anyone on this forum or anywhere in the world for that matter who does not have several or as many as 20 pictures of their boat in the slings of a travel lift?
