Dockwa Experiences

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
From Docklwa web site...and what I don't particularly like but understand....

Refund policy.

100% Refund 24 hours prior to the marina's local check-in time. If the boater cancels less than 24 hours before check-in, the first night is non-refundable. If the boater arrives and decides to leave early, the nights not spent 24 hours after the official cancellation are 100% refunded.

However, when you deal with Dockwa, they NEVER know details about the marina that could be important. They ain't there

At the risk of repetition, Dockwa is just an electronic interface between u & the Marina.

Making an initial reservation or subsequently Messaging the Marina via Dockwa is analogous to calling, txting or emailing the MARINA.
Good marinas are responsive-others aren’t.
Marinas r often seasonal businesses. I have no problem paying a deposit to confirm a reservation (& many Marinas now require this independent of Dockwa)-the interface just facilitates this transaction.

I'll put Dockwa in with all the rest:

Reserve America
Air B&B and all the rest of them

Rental Cars rented from headquarters 1000s of miles away
Hotels from with the same deal
Most any "third" party go between... they just don't know what's going on.

Now, the only exception I've found is Uber.

I use it for all my travels, never had a problem besides one marina was actually substandard and I didn't think they should have been on dackwa
