Need to clean out old listings

It’s frustrating to go the what appear to be interesting webinar
Offerings only to find that the webinar occurred a year or more ago. (I’d love to participate in an offering by Steve DAntonio, but he or the moderators have responsibility to clean out the old, sold and out of date listings.
I hope the hesitancy to do so isn’t because it would leave Trawler Forum with an embarrassingly sparse group of listings.
The Forum is a valuable resource. Let’s keep what is good and build on that in the future.

We have been doing a lot of clean up in the TF Classifieds. If we missed a sold boat / accy please feel free to report the post (triangle ! Symbol bottom left of a post) with a note it has been sold and the mods will get the report and remove the ad.
We request the sellers notify us but not all do.

Why do you think old listings of sold boats is valuable?

I they had the “sold price” there would be some value .. but small.

If you’re looking just for general boat pictures it would be nice to have an unclassified section.
“Interesting boats” by the title should be such a thread but it’s mostly turned into a contest to see who can post up the biggest and most expensive boats. There was a TV program that was “lifestyles of the rich and famous”. I think that was it. Perhaps you could start a thread “Small Boats less than ?’.

It's a classified section. There is no Webinar section. You're referring to one persons post.
Your complaint is with the poster of the content in the classified section. We archive posting in classifieds when we're notified that the item is no longer for sale. The site isn't involved in the posting.

This is like blaming the Bullitin board for an ad for a couch when the seller has sold the couch.

Hi Bacchus,

You sent a message asking if I have sold my 2006 Mainship34T. Said you were clearing out files.
Please be advised that the boat HAS NOT been sold.

No problem, ad is still up.
Please report the listing when it does sell and we will archive the ad then.
Thanks
