Changing Refrigerator on 44MC

The old refrigerator has given up the ghost (It's a 14 cu. ft. RCA which should tell you HOW old). Has anyone upgraded their refrigerator on a 44MC. It appears I will either have to cut up the old one or remove the breakfast bar and cabinets over the sink to get the old one out. I'm open to suggestions as I have not yet purchased a replacement.

Would it be easier to convert the existing frig to a cold plate system? These systems can be run on 12VDC or 110VAC depending on the manufacture.
