Sturgeon Bay to St Augustine in mid May

New member here. I've been sailing the east coast and Bahamas for 40years. Done a few trawler deliveries on the east coast. I just bought a 1997 Marine Trader 34 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. I am planning on taking it down the usual route to Mobile, then around the Keys to St Augustine. I am planning to start the trip south in the middle of May. I just wondered whether the rivers are any more difficult to navigate during this time of year and if flooding is something I need to be concerned about. Appreciate any information I can get. Thanks in advance! Bob

Welcome aboard. Yes, they likely will be flowing more then than later in the summer. Too bad? Who knows. How does the boat handle with a stern current? The flow will help with the speed over ground through.
