Hi All,
Name is Dave, live in Trawler country (PNW), own a sailboat (31' Allmand), putting that up for sale and have started the process to own a 1977 36' Eagle Trawler. My wife and I have looked at trawlers on and off for 3 years now, mainly because of the lack of room in a 31' sailboat and it seems like the older we get, the more elbow room we need.
We found a gem (I mean it), not a project boat, and have started the buy process. I'm sure I will do much research here and pick your brains for probably everything trawler.
I'm used to tearing the "dog house" apart on a sailboat to get to the little 24hp engine and the the first time I lifted the floor up in the trawler I jumped... thought that big red beast was going to... you get it. WOW, is that sucker big!
