New Grand Banks Owner

I’ve been out of big boats for about 35 years. In between my passion has been flying small aircraft. Talk about two ends of the spectrum. I’ve gone from 200 knots to 8 knots. The similarity is they both are holes that you fill with money.

I got the idea that I wanted to do the Inside Passage and started looking for a capable boat. I looked at a number of trawlers but stumbled on my GB 42 at a very good price. The owner was very motivated due to personal concerns. I’ve poured a fair bit of change upgrading some systems but fundamentally I think she’s in good condition.

I’m looking forward to learning all about trawlers before my big adventure in the summer of 2021.

Welcome. Hope you enjoy the 42. We love our GB 36 after the first year. Lots of work but it helps in getting to know the boat. Good luck with her!

Be sure to get on the Grand Banks owners site. Not as well attended but lots and lots of information stored there over the years.
