Hi everyone, im new on Trawler forum and I seek advice from all you vastly experienced mariners.
I am planning a motorboat trip in 2020 with my son from South East Ireland that will involve as much of the following as possible.
Motor up the East coast of Ireland then on to the Isle of Man then on up and through the western Scottish Islands, then shetland Islands, Faroe Islands and on to Iceland and hopefully Greenland and taking in Norway on the return Journey.
My questions are many but my first one is about type of boat, my purchase budget for boat is roughly £60 thousand.
1, Is it possible to do this trip in a procharter 33 ish fishing boat or similar GRP Planing hull with twin engine 230 Horsepower each engine.:hide:
Looking forward to hearing your replies.:whistling:

Consider the type of boat regularly used to operate in those waters.
Is it the boat you describe? If not, why not?
