Talking Newbie here...

Thanks for letting me join this forum. I just purchased a Gibson houseboat and cannot wait to get started on this journey. I know I have A LOT to learn!! My chocolate lab and I are very excited to get started!

Welcome aboard. We have a black lab now. Used to have a chocolate lab. Named him Bob after the Bill Murray character in the movie What About Bob because he was crazy.

There is certainly nothing wrong with a houseboat if you know itís limitations and use it accordingly. For protected waters they are fine and have a ton of room. But they are suspect for coastal cruising where there isnít protection.
