Well, she's been in the hard for almost 18years. Refit in process(sort of) for that whole time
I am in the middle of inspecting here throughout, and taking inventory of the pieces I have
on hand. Just nice to know there is a place to go for info and support.

Welcome. What engine and generator are we dealing with here? Has the inside festered with mold? Be very careful about your breathing protection if so. My house was full of mold when I bought it, and a backpack sprayer with full strength pool chlorine after the paneling was removed solved that right quickly.

Ford Lehman 6.2L, kohler genset
no mold, lots of water damaged wood
stored inside for 15yrs
already bad some stringer work

Ah, yes, the venerable Ford Lehman 120 HP, good engine. Have you barred it and the genny over or even started them? Inside storage was good while it lasted.

Although you didn't ask any questions, maybe you are just looking for advice so here it comes:
(15 years in storage, Oh My)

Drain and clean all the tanks, paying special attention to the condition of the fuel tanks.
Fix window leaks as soon as you find them.
That F.L. will fire right up with fresh fuel, proper priming and a good battery. Run it hard and run it often.

OMG...18yrs on the hard!!

Stringer work/problem/guesses/tests/inspections... etc... etc...

That usually spells RUN Away. Be very careful what you may be getting into. A free [or near free] boat that does not actually = a "workable" boat = no boat at all, which = headaches galore!

Again: Be Very Careful!!

Welcome aboard. I have had my boat since 2007. Keep a realistic perspective about your boat and be methodical on any upgrades and repairs you do. Use your boat and be carefull of 'project creep'. This is where you start a small project and it grows and grows.

This board is a wonderfull resource. Use the search function before you start a project to see what land mines you might come across.

Also read the article in this months "Passagemaker" about a fellow who refurbished a smaller Grand Banks. It can get expensive.
