New Member in WA state

Hello all,

Currently we're in Bellingham, WA and this will be our first full summer of cruising. We've spent the last 3 years doing fair-weather boating all over the San Juans in a 28' Four Winns but recently upgraded to a 33' Ocean Sport Roamer and are looking for cruising tips in the San Juans, Gulf Islands, Broughtons, Sunshine coast etc.

Thanks and Hello!!

Welcome! We are in Olympia and cruise those same areas in a Nordic Tug 32, much slower than what you will be doing! There are so many good things to see and do in the areas you mention but recommendations will depend some on your boating style. Do you stay mostly in marinas or on the hook? Do you hike? Fish? Solitude?

If you give us a little more guidance, I think there are many members from the PNW that will offer some ideas.

Greetings and welcome aboard!

For your engine(s) and drive(s), I can't say enough good things about Islands Marine Center on Lopez Island. We had one of each on our last boat, and IMC demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

You have a fantastic adventure cruiser, perfect for our weather. It is going to be a hoot...enjoy!

PM me with where you hide your spare key and I'll help you exercise the boat.
