Hi Everyone, just joined the forum. My wife and I have a 2001 61' Jefferson Marquesa and plan on a trip to the Bahamas/Exumas in January.

Would appreciate any advice. Also any Jefferson owners that may have advice for maximum seas recommended for safe open water cruising for a my boat equipped with stabilizers and twin 800hp cats. I would appreciate learning from others experiences.

Thanks

Kerry

Greetings,
Welcome aboard. The only advice I can offer is: Do NOT attempt to cross the Gulf Stream if there is ANY "North" vector (ENE through WNW). You may have to wait for the seas to calm if there have been strong winds from those directions for any period of time.

Welcome - I recommend that you reach out to Captain AJ who runs OLOH, a 60’ Jefferson. Just Google my oloh and you will find their site. They have a ton of experience and have documented many of their passages on YouTube. They are very nice guys, super helpful. Be safe out there.
