Smile Howdy from Tucson

We are Dorothy & Gary Wood, former rag-toppers who have switched teams! From '96 to '05, we logged over 50,000 miles and 59 countries around the world on our 50-ft steel sailboat "Gigolo." Alas, we are not getting any younger and need a vessel that can put the pedal to the metal in America's waterways. We have just purchased a '05 Mainship 400, lying Panama City, FL, and are excited to begin a new adventure, cruising the Great Loop. We appreciate this forum for providing such great information and look forward to meeting fellow trawlers here and along the way.

Welcome aboard. We lived in Tucson for 30 years before retiring and moving to Michigan to live on a river.

Welcome and glad to see a serious cruiser has flipped to the dark side. Be another couple of years before we get to Panama City, FL. Were slowly working our way down the west coast of MX. Might get through the Canal before the next Hurricane season.

Cheers!
