Hello Harold, I too live in Melbourne, FL, just joined the forum as well. Currently boat-less , approaching retirement and considering the cruising lifestyle (at least part time)

Harold
Welcome and you are choosing a wonderful small trawler in a Prairie 29. I just bought mine a few months ago and the more I am on her, the absolutely more I love her.

I had a Marine Trader 40 (and other sailboats large and small before that); but I love how the P29 handles, has so much space, has many unique features that my MT 40 did not have.

Check out the Prairie part of the forum and read, see what others have done to their vessels, learn a HUGE amount of general knowledge from the people of this forum.

I looked for 2 years til I found THE boat that fit me and my dreams (which includes the Loop).

Enjoy. Ask questions, learn, share what you know.

Tim
