Hello,
I am from the south Puget Sound, and finally pulled the trigger on an older trawler. Took a gamble on the boat, as it was sitting in someones back yard and hasn't been in the water in a few years. Last week I launched out of Olympia after some fiberglass repairs, new through hull fittings and a fresh coat of bottom paint. She ran great! The Lehman fired up with no issues and she is finally sitting at her moorage on Harstine Island.
She still has a lot of work to be done, and she wont ever be the nicest boat in the harbor, but I am excited I can give my kids the adventures she will open up for us.
Thank you all for creating a community to share this advature!

Welcome aboard. Glad the chance you took on the boat has worked out well for you and your family. Good call on replacing the through-hull fittings.
Post pics when you can. We love to watch other people work. :-)
