I have boated on a large lake (25,000 acres) in NC with a pontoon for 10 years and have always had an interest in having a larger boat on the coast. We have started looking and doing some homework. We are thinking about a 40ish ft trawler.

Excited to learn from everyone here.

Eddie, welcome aboard. Lots of intelligent people on here who have a lot of knowledge about trawlers and things related to them. That's why I hang out here. I'm a social climber who likes to 'listen' to smart people when they talk.

Welcome to the Trawler Forum.

If you can put your pontoon boat onto it's trailer in a cross wind, a trawler should be a piece of cake. A friend took me for a ride in his 24 footer and when we got back, jumped off to get the truck and trailer, It took me 3 tries to hit the trailer. They sure do catch the wind!
