New Mainship 34 mk1 owner

My wife and I just closed on a 1979 Mainship 34 mk1. We will be bringing it up to Rhode Island from Maryland in a few weeks. Thank you to everyone on this forum for your assistance. I have been reading and learning here and elsewhere for the last two years. It has been very helpful and I am sure it will continue to be helpful as I will need a lot of help.

We have been sailing around Newport and the BVIs for the last five years. We still love to sail but don't love sailboats. We can now sail on other people's boats and come home to our comfy trawler.

We will be at Brewer Cowesett in Warwick RI and look forward to cruising around Narragansett Bay this summer. We will be renaming the boat "Anegada da Vida". Stop by for a home brew if you are in town.

Congratulations. Looks like you have the original and much discussed and sought after "copper" map in the galley.

Looks like a well-kept boat. Interesting floor treatment; makes sense.
