New guy just saying Hello

Hello everyone, great forum. I have tons of questions that I am slowing getting answers to from the forum. I am currently a weekend lake warrior with a great houseboat and runabout. I am a few years away from partial retirement , but all of your stories have me very interested in navigable waterways and open water. I am waiting on my "Chapman piloting" book to come in the mail. I have friends and family that think I am crazy to think of living aboard in the south but your stories keep dreaming of one day. I hope to soon charter a bareboat and test the water with my wife, but it seems there is so much to learn of open water boating. Keep up the good info and I will keep reading .
