New boater in Vancouver

Hi everyone,

I bought my first boat a month ago. Looking forward to exploring the PNW this summer!

Congrats. What boat did you get and what areas do you plan to explore. I’m from Vancouver … now cooking in the Florida heat and running boats in 6 feet of water.

Welcome!

I picked up a 2002 Camplion Allante LX925!

Will be mostly cruising the southern gulf islands (we have a cabin there) but hope to make sure a trip up to desolation sound.

I’m going to be wintering in Miami starting this fall!

Enjoy. I love Montague Habour and Ganges down south, and have spent plenty of time in Prideaux Haven in Desolation. Get out there and stay safe.

Welcome aboard

*Pet peeve alert*

You're on BC's south coast, I'm on the north coast, and Bella Bella is on the central coast. There is no PNW in BC

Welcome aboard! I grew up in the Gulf Islands but now I'm stuck on the other side of the border! Don't forget to check out Dionesio Marine Park on the north end of Galiano, Wallace Island Marine Park (was the home of David Connover of "Once Upon an Island" fame) and don't miss Telegraph harbor over on Thetis Island. Enjoy!

Murray, that was his first post. I would have corrected him if it had been his 10th. But thanks for the correction.

Welcome, and forgive your fellow Canadians for being testy about properly describing SW BC.
We do need a picture or two, especially in your avatar.

I wasn’t too rough was I, even with the pet peeve alert & smily face?

Things are a bit woozy, what with the heat and all, so apologize if it came across as overly cranky. Then again, I’ll soon be approaching the ripe old age of curmudgeonhood and will speak my mind on many more issues any time I like!
