I'm a new owner of a 45' Californian. We're snow birds so we keep it in Jacksonville during the summer and plan on cruising the Keys this winter.
As with most older boats, it needs some mechanical and electrical TLC. I already replaced all the batteries and rewired the MASTERVOLT system to work correctly. Amazing how someone would drop over $10K on an electric system and then not hook it up properly. Such is boating.
I'm looking forward to swapping info with everyone here.

Where do you keep her in JAX?

Jax Slip

Lambs Yacht Center
FANTASTIC facility for safe keeping. Fixed concrete docks w/concrete roofs.
In Hermine I was VERY happy to have her there.

Was just there a few weeks ago having a new helm chair put on Sonas. She was also there for the month of March having the regular maintenance done.

That railway bridge is skinny though in a blow!!

Welcome mkinter. I own a Californian 42LRC in San Diego. If I can be of any help just ask. Dan

Welcome to the Californian experience! I hope you get the chance to check out the Californian Section here on TF. Lots of good info there for our boats!
