Menzies checking in!

Where: NE Florida (Jacksonville)

What: currently 1989 Silverton 40 Aft Cabin, just listed for sale. 15 foot AB RIB with 60hp for day trips.

Upcoming: looking at mid-2000s Nordhavn 47 or Kady Krogen 48. Timing, as soon as current boat is sold.

Experience: sailor since pre-teens off the north west Irish coast. With current boat cruise Abacos, NE and Central Florida, SE Georgia.

Looking to: complete the Great Loop, complete the Islands down to ABC and back. Complete a transatlantic crossing with three brothers (all boaters), from there who the heck knows!

Crew: was first mate and three children (meaning most weekend trips with eight on board as each child wanted a friend!). Most on board for a five day weekend to The Golden Isles was eleven. Children now flown the coop, so just the first mate.

Work/Retired: still a working stiff. In fact sitting on a United flight at Newark as I type this. Doing a circumnavigation in five days by plane. Shanghai today, continuing west to Mumbai on Wednesday and then from there back to Jacksonville on Thursday night, arriving Friday morning!

Other hobbies: photography, travel (for pleasure!), eating out.

Looking forward to the forum.
