Hello Folks,

Had almost forgotten about this community.

I sold my trawler in 2014 (Californian 38 LRC) and was out of boating a few years.
I bought a 32ft Blackfin last year - back in boating (all in).

Hope youre all doing well.

Cheers,
Per

Welcome back. You don’t need a trawler to participate here, I am an example of that…

your new boat is too fast for us:ermm:

Nothing wrong with a fast boat, you can always pull back on the throttles and go slow.

she runs 3208s - each is 375 hp
goes 28 kts on wot, we cruise at around 15kts which is much more economical.
my previous boat was also not a true trawler though she had a hard time getting on a plane.

Yup, I regularly admit to my boat being a planing hull not-a-trawler.

Trawling is a mind-set, not a throttle-set...

Yes indeed, welcome back. I don't even have a boat at all now. I've held onto the dink outboard though. Wonder why..? :)

You dont have a trawler? I wouldn't worry about it. We cannot define the physical traits of a trawler.

candyann, what brand of boat is your icon? Looks very interesting. I'd like to read it.

Old Dan can you send me a personal message. I tried to send you a PM about our boat but I do t think it went through.
