Howdy folks from the woods of Florida
Another new guy on the dock to the forum. Have been around boats pretty much my entire life. Charted and commercial fished in the latter 70's and early 80's. Have had boats up to 42' but currently have a couple Boston Whalers. Enjoy fishing, diving, boating in general. My wife has started dreaming of retirement and a trawler. Hope to learn from the experience of those here. Hope all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy, healthy, and safe New Year.

Windows are slanted the wrong way.

My wife says what the heck is that? Guess it helps get you outa the weather? Hope you don't mind if we forward and tell my son this is the Trawler of her dreams? We'd be headin to the islands in that one....... Lower Matecumbe or Leighton. I'm glad folks here don't have a sense of humor.

With the large windows on that Whaler if they slanted forward, a large wave could push it astern.
Welcome aboard to a great place to hang your hat.

TDog-you have to know that HH is the resident Photoshop guru here so you can't always believe the pics he posts. I was a bit surprised he did not put a flybridge on that one! Although he has significantly improved several designs posted here over the years!

Welcome aboard. Sense of humor is essential although your comments hit home. Started out in the last century looking for a Boston Whaler to scuba dive in the upper keys and ended up with a Krogen 42 and am now nowhere near the keys.

Welcome aboard Tdog,
Sound like you have plenty of experience so you have a head start on most newbies, ask away I doubt if there's a boat out there that these guys don't have a solid opinion on!.

Thanks for the warm welcome. My wife dropped a couple not so subtle hints in Christmas gifts yesterday. We began our search for the "right boat" a few month's ago. As you'all know, pictures/descriptions can be very deceiving. Humors me to see how many boats advertised are the "finest, cleanest, ready to cruise, example on the market"
Appreciate the practical knowledge, experience, and willingness to share by folks on the forum. Hoping to make the Trawler Fest in February. I'll be sure to let everyone know, when we find the 400k boat for 100k. Gonna have to keep an eye on HH .

Tdog, welcome aboard. It's nice your Admiral is behind the project. Makes life a lot easier to have her onboard.
