Hello, new to this forum

Hello all! I am John, long time sailor, current boat a Cambria 46. My wife and I are of the age to be thinking about moving from sail to power, which is why I'm here.

Thanks!!

John

Welcome to the Dark Side John. Best of luck finding the right “Trawler”!

Cheers

Yes, welcome to TF from the other side. You aren't the first, and you won't be the last. However, as a one time sailor myself, I see the differences as not one better than the other, but rather like the Aldi ad we have here in Oz anyway - comparing power boating to sail boating, just... 'Good - different..!'

Welcome to TF-- I have been sailor all my life. Bounced between sail and power a few times and have trawler now.

You will fine coming from a background in sail helps a lot to appreciate the 7-8 knot lifestyle. Do not think it would be so easy coming from a 25knot cruiser to a trawler.

Browse this forum, you will learn a lot!
