Hello Folks
Thank you for the welcome to this forum! Last January my wife and I decided to purchase a trawler we had earlier chartered for a summer voyage in the Washington San Juan Islands. We just returned from a wonderful two week voyage in August.
I was born in Aberdeen, Washington and raised in Oregon and Washington. My childhood until a move to Alaska, included many an experience in the American San Juans. I’m back on the water now with a 41 year old classic trawler that has been restored by two great people I met when the boat broker friend of mine called me advising that the boat I had chartered was for sale. So now I’m picking up where their loving hands left off.
I will have many questions to pose here on the forum. I look forward to your experiences and knowledge. I’m a trawler person. I love the way they move in the water. I love the way they look and act under my feet.
Hopefully I can contribute as well as learn from your experiences on the water.
