Hello All from Vancouver Island

Hi All, I've just decided to join, have been an active member of Cruisers and Sailing Forum for years although I am a power boater. I am a marine technician, primarily electrical, for 25+ years and in idle time I scan for questions that I might provide a useful contribution to. In the summer on the BC central coast look for my 31 Uniflite with a kayak on the bow, usually with a 17ft center console alongside or in tow.

Cheers,
Nate

Thanks! I'm in Nanaimo and keep the boat in Sointula. It's a ways to go but the moorage is good and cheap, the dock managers, Lorraine, Cathy & Delores are great. I do the run up to Bella Bella in 16 hours with one overnight, usually alone (that's the way it is for me these days). I lived in BB for 5 years, my ex was the lighthouse keeper at Dryad then and I worked for Shearwater and still do during the summer. It's probable that a number of TF members have had me on their boats at one time or another... I love to fish and know the area around there pretty well.
