Thanks for adding me to your Forum. Life long boater who recently sold my 55 year old wooden deadrise and purchased a Island Gypsy Trawler. I've a lot to learn.

Welcome to TF. You can learn plenty on here. Of course, like anywhere, always make sure advice given passes the 'sniff' test - or as we Aussies say, "passes the 'pub' test.

Of course if you sniff your beer before drinking it I guess you're doing both, right..?
