I’m new to this forum and to trawlers. Decided I’m no longer a sailor. Now trawlers fit my aspirations of being on the water with my family. (Wife, children, grandkids) I’m waiting for a 1986 Universal 36 foot Europa trawler to be hauled, inspected, and tried before making a decision to buy. I am just starting to learn more about trawlers and am looking forward to the experience of owning one.

Hard to keep my desire to own in check when looking at boats. I will heed your advice and let the more experienced eye of the inspector and others guide me.
