Hi all I am a new member from Florida, by way of Eastern Long Island and a native of Rhode Island. Boating now about 52 years. 20 of those years as an owner of a Yacht Brokerage Company. Sold 100s of both power and sail. Currently retired but restored two power boats over the last 6 years in my retirement.

Love Boats, boating people and cruising. Once I finish my current project I will sell her and start looking for another one but it will be my last one, as time is running out for my days left on the water. I will make this last one strictly for cruising and it will probably be a trawler style.

Welcome aboard, any picture of your current project?

As we get closer to a trip southward from the Cape Canaveral area, through your neck of the woods, I'll probably ask for some local knowledge info if you don't mind.

Current project

Here are a few random shots. It is a 1985 32'Blackfin F/B SF with 375 Hp. Cats. This was keel up project...new bottom, new fuel & water tanks, engines pulled and sent to shop for new everything, new risers, new Awlgrip (sprayed) All bilges repainted, new thru hull fittings, Lee Sr. Outriggers (cast bronze re-chromed.) All new gauges, lots of new wiring, new Ac/DC distribution panel (yet to be installed). New molded fiberglass window frames (fixed) New teak bulkhead, all new teak interior and lighting, all new soft goods, new teak cabin sole . New aluminum half tower with fiberglass top. New windlass.
She is out of the water until Nov. while we wait for the worst of hurricane season to pass. I will finish the interior and the wiring between now and Nov. 15th 3.5 years with 1 full time helper but we really only worked 20 to 25 hour weeks.

Thank you. It will be for sale when finished this fall and if I can't get what I want for her I will keep her and start cruising and fishing. It is small for cruising but big enough for me and my wife and everything is brand new. Once sold we will be looking to go back into an aft cabin. Prior to this we had a beautiful 43' Viking DC with 671 naturals. Should have kept her. Oh well it is all fun either way. Happy boating!
