Greetings from SW Florida
Just wanted to say hello, and introduce myself,
I recently purchased a project 73 Bristol 38 Trawler and hope to be talking a little about it here on this forum. The boat has been sitting for quite some time and needs at the very least a major cleaning and engine work for starters to make her at the margin of sea worthy. I have been boating approx 12 years now and moved to Fla from NJ. I will be keeping the boat at my home here in Cape Coral and doing most of the work myself, as I know my way around engines pretty well. She has a Cat Diesel , and Im not sure of the model but will post all info when the boat gets here. Thanks in advance

This is just like watching first timers docking their boats! I did exactly the same thing until Flyright bailed me out.

this site is a little frustrating, I am trying to post some pics of my boat, and every time I try the site shuts me down saying Im doing to many posts and sees some suspicious activity?? whats that all about?? anyway , I have belonged to other sites that dont seem to make it so difficult to participate in? is there something I can do about this?

There are filters to keep out spammers. It is because that you are new. Maybe a moderator will help out. Before a certain number of posts I don't think it will accept pictures. I believe the number is 10 or so. I hope you won't get frustrated. Most of us had similar encounters. After the software recognizes you as a regular poster there should be few problems.
Please hang in there.

In the forum titled Forum Support the thread at the top is a sticky, meaning it stays there to be easily found. http://www.trawlerforum.com/forums/s...-etc-5739.html this link will take you there.
Post #6 is applicable to your current request but the entire thread contains useful information for new members and old hands alike. Linking from hosting sites is acceptable, however be advised it is the least reliable way to post pictures. Third party hosting sites tend to get squirly sometimes and if a member is experiencing slow page loads the photos linked from sites like photobucket etc tend to not display.
Welcome to the forum
