Glad to be here

Thank you for letting me join. My boat is a Grand Banks 36, home port is Blaine, WA. Bought her, "True Love", In Sept 2005 and have been cruising the PNW in the summers since then. Now I am land locked in North Texas caring for my 90 year old dad and have listed the boat for sale but having thoughts of maybe doing fractional ownership and sharing this great boat with others. Has anyone here done that?

I have never done fractional ownership of a boat, but I did with a lakefront cabin with a relative. It did not work out well. Different ideas of priorities, use, sharing, etc. etc.

With some, with the right attitude (yours), right circumstances, and most importantly the right other person it could mostly work.
However, the opportunities for issues and problems are enormous. In my opinion, I would not be interested in such an arrangement.

Welcome aboard. It would not work well if I was one of the partners because I have very strong opinions as to how a boat should be maintained.
