Gadabout

Just wanted to say hello to the group. Amazing amount of content on this site and I am grateful to have found such a helpful group.
This is my first post to the site and wanted to share the new to us 1988 IG40, "Gadabout". My wife and I just recently purchased this from the original owner! She was cruised primarily in the Chesapeake but I'm told it has also made the journey down the ICW to Florida and spent some time in Rhode Island, NY, Connecticut, etc.
Gadabout is hull #23 of the 40' raised flush aft deck type trawler. Powered by twin Ford Lehman SP225 turbos. Tank capacity of 450 gallons of diesel and 200 gallons of fresh water. We will spend the next couple seasons tweaking the systems and learning the boat near our home on the Chesapeake but hope to one day cover some ground southbound. She will be hauled for the Winter so we can do some regular maintenance but come Spring we plan to rent our primary home on Airbnb and be part time liveaboards. Cabin fever has already set in here in the Mid-Atlantic. Come on Spring!
