1979 44' Gulfstar

I'm considering the purchase of a 1979 44' Gulfstar Motor Yacht and am interested in your input and comments regarding this year & model of boat. It has dual Perkins, model 6.354 engines with 3400 hours each. What's a reasonable number of hours to expect from these engines?

Sometimes it's not all about the number of hours, but how well it was maintained. If the engines startup quickly, run well and smooth and don't smoke heavily they are probably good. Once you have a survey done, then that will help confirm any issues.
