My son owns and operates an automotive repair business in town (Torrington, Ct). He had been renting space for 6 years and in Feb he bought a big building and property.

One of the projects he always wanted to do was mount a 1959 Cadillac nose over his entry door. He started in March with a total junk car he bought "sight unseen", and got it mounted finally on saturday. You could not get the smile off his face.

I thought it might be appropriate to put a few pictures here as this borders on being "off the deep end".

Enjoy!

Great job! I always love a unique, eye catching idea to attract business.

Congratulations to your son on growing his shop.

Thank you for sharing.

I remember them well, when I was 12-13 I washed neighbors cars to make a few bucks. Most had mid sized cars but one had one of these Caddys another had a gigantic Plymouth station wagon of about the same vintage. It took about twice as long to wash them, back then I never thought to charge extra, today I sure would. Maybe that is why I hate to wash and wax the boat.
It does mke an impressive awning though
