On Line Madness
Boat is in the yard and I am sitting here in the man cave of my home office cruising the web.
It can take quite a while to get through the boating sites I am a member of. And I got to wondering - I wonder how many others are on the sites I am on!
Post them up!
Trawler Forum.
MTOA Forum
DeFever Cruisers (owners) Forum
Cruisers Forum
Abaco Forum
Trawlers Living and Cruising FB page
MTOA FB page
DeFever FB page
Walkers Cay Reborn FB page
My own managed FB page
I am still a member of Florida Sportsman Forum but I seldom visit.

I did Yacht Forum for a while but the snob factor was so high I eventually stopped going there. Well, I should be nice, they're just in another world, superyacht kind of stuff. I found some of it very interesting on an academic level but it was hard to relate (so hard to find good full time paid crew). Topping off their fuel tanks cost more than my boat is worth.
I did the Bayliner Forum for a while (BOC, Bayliners Owners Club) and a lot of them were helpful and it was fun, but I haven't been there in years now. Kind of outgrew it. Did Cruisers Forum but that's mostly sail, and did Hull Truth but haven't been there in years either. This forum is the only one that's stayed with me for a long time, kind of the sweet spot for boat size, power, and generally I think this forum is by far the most helpful and good natured and gentlemanly (in the generic sense). Well, as long as I stay out of the Covid threads.

I like The Hull Truth. I know it's mostly outboard guys but with enough time I've learned who the real experts are on a host of things. Systems, Paint, Fiberglass, Electrical. Also some interesting build threads and local knowledge stuff. And their for-sale page has a lot of stuff. I've had success buying and selling there.

This one and the Defever owners forum are the only ones, besides Yachtworld and some brokerage sites that I regularly search of course! I have to keep up with my pilot forums too, after all.
That said, when looking for some technical knowledge, particularly on smaller vessels, I agree that theHulltruth.com has been invaluable at times.

New teak on the swim platform and steps from there.
Fixing cracks in the hinge areas on the heavy portuguese bridge door to the foredeck.
Trying to resolve my recent Balmar issue.
They weren't sure if they would have to haul her to do the teak. If they do I will have them do the zincs and check the cutlass bearings.

I occasionally peruse cruisers forum, but I seldom participate. Likewise with a few FB Groups like Sailing and Cruising, Sailing and Cruising ICW, Trawler Living and Cruising... etc.
I've been a member at a couple of owner's groups, but I never got much sense of community from any. I visited THT for a while years ago, but I found there to be a lot of... abrasive... personalities that I didn't care for.
This one is the only one that feels like home to me.

Besides TF, AGLCA (Great Loop forum), DeFever Cruisers and I still usually get an email digest from Trawlers and Trawlering.
