Now that the leg band has been identified as counterfeit it brings up another question. Why in hell would anybody counterfeit a pigeon leg band?

Maybe it was part of a plot to smuggle high speed Australian pigeons to the US.

Probably as happy crapping on monuments here as over there. If the band is fake(who would do that??) maybe the pigeon is too. Some kind of spyware? The plot thickens, as does the pigeon casserole.
