Farrell 34
You never bail me
No bilge water to harbor
So I sink port rail

One life to make wakes
Where to set anchor, not sure
My charts show the way

Big ship passes by
When the boat rolls I’m OK
At night in my bunk

Zooming at ten knots
Current makes trawler so fast
Good speed, then tide turns!

Whut U got?
(5-7-5 syllables)

Currently boatless
But always dreaming of it
Hope springs eternal

Mainship on jackstands.

Popsicle boat this winter.

Long hibernation.

Green hull draws praises
Shows every goddam blemish
May be poor option

Fog and radar broke
Going slow with charts squinting
Out of narrows soon

Varnishing endless
Sand sand wipe brush brush brush brush
Time for a cold beer

Norcold fridge is warm.
Need to burn yet another
Fifteen hundred bucks.

Forecast says calm seas
Hey, lets go for a boat ride
Ass handed to me

Time to pump out turds
Sorry, the machine is broke
Take my poops with me

Waves lap at the hull
Tugs gently on her snubber
Anxiously watch amps

Sound asleep in bed
Something breaks in engine room
Probably not cheap

Get a boat they said
It'll be fun they all said
They may have a point

Sixteen batteries
Weighing sixty five pounds each
Grab another beer

"Norcold" is such a perfect name for a frig that is NOR COLD. Someone with a better imagination needs to work this into a haiku

Varnishing endless
Sand sand wipe brush brush brush brush
Time for a cold beer

AKprof sand sand
3M blocks don't float too long
How would I know that?

AK brush brush brush
While my rails turn green green green
But my beer is cold!

One life to spin prop
Where next to snag crab pot float?
The boat seems to know.

Dark rum to Haiku
40 proof lubrication
Time for an oil change.

Heavy snow tonight.
For eight hundred ten dollars,
Shrink wrap please don't split.

Grand Banks hull 125
Fightin hard to keep her alive
Tornado tried to do her in
But #125 survived to the end

So now my new Capt has dreams to succeed
To bring me back and sail the high seas
But his broke ass can bearly buy fuel
And everyone says"that damn fool"

But love for this woodie can a miracle make
And keep me alive for history s' sake
Because in me ,all his money he's puttin
Because I used to belong to Mr Robert Newton
