I had large and rugged windlasses on my sail boats and seldom had a dismantling problem, but trying to service this Lewmar Pro 1000 (not the ProFish) has me stumped. Unscrewing the Clutch Nut is easy, even for me, but how to “unscrew and remove” the Gypsy Cone is causing me to kick things on the foredeck…… I know that there is a blindingly simple answer - can anyone tell me what it is, please.
