Easthope anchor winch

Greetings,

Addressed to our Canadian members, looking for data on Easthope anchor winches. Particularly the purpose and use of a lever. I have no conception of the winch, save to say an acquaintance purchased a Canadian troller with a Gardner Diesel and a Easthope anchor winch. He has no literature on the winch and not successful in locating any information.
If any have a clue or a thought lay it out. Thanks,

Al-"Slo~Belle"-Ketchikan

A photo might help, a lot of Easthope stuff is in museums.

The Easthope company put this in the classified ads every day for decades: “Jesus is the light of the world.”
