Whales playground - Double Cone Island

Been here for a few days now, no one else around as its a bit off the usual Whitsunday list but every day we have had visiting mothers and calves in the morning and evening coming into the bay and putting on a show for us.

Lifes good out here.

Sounds awesome, and even better it being a private show.

I wonder if they breach more in calving areas?

We're in a Humpback feeding area, so they breath about 7 times, deep dive, stay down for about seven minutes, come up to breath about 7 times, deep dive, repeat, all day long.

We saw one breaching in the distance in Princess Royal Channel, it kept breaching for 45 minutes while we hovered at a safe distance, and kept on breaching as we motored off. Must be fun

Heading back here again in a couple of days.

First time in 4 years that we had a water issue - started getting a yellow tinge, I dosed with chlorine but figured better safe than sorry so came back in and pumped the tanks out on the way, pulled into the public pontoon on arrival and put a fresh 3.5 tonne on.

6 cases of Shiraz and merlot waiting at the post office as well as some stronger fishing gear, the 20lb gear we have has been getting trashed , fresh fruit and veg as well and then out of here.
