Never seen this before. The cloud mass etc is rotating clockwise over Sydney, I`ve seen stuff approaching from one or other direction but not this, maybe the eye of it is over Sydney. Hope the link works:
64 km Sydney (Terrey Hills) Radar Loop.
We have a low system which deposited 110mm of rain in 2 hours earlier today on Sydney. There is a gale warning for later today, though not much sign of it right now.

Hi,

I saw a few news images in the morning, over 100mm in two hours, there is a disaster in many cases, all good for it.

The rain added about 4500L to my water tanks in those 2 hours. The tanks help avoid water supply restrictions when imposed. A months rain in 2 hours.

And while Sydney in NSW state is cool and damp,to the north of NSW and still on the east coast, Queensland state is experiencing 40C temperatures and widespread bushfires necessitating evacuations.Every weather system must have its limits and stop somewhere but it`s odd to get 2 adjacent States hammered so hard so differently, contemporaneously.
